Jan and Jen have been business partners since 1980. They know exactly what their business is all about and what their customers want and need from them. Their catering and restaurant endeavour is built on quality - quality ingredients prepared with attention to detail. They have weathered a lot of change over the years - change in location, change in the size of the business and they are always ready to see what else is around the corner to do things that will suit the ever changing needs of the people that depend on Stars for entertaining and business catering.

Jen is the perfect host. People look forward to her sincere greeting and seek her out to lift up their spirits. She is warm, empathetic, kind and honest… someone you can trust with your life. Jen not only can cook spicy dishes, but she also is one spicy dish. Jen is a hot chili or curry dish and definitely not oatmeal. She is fun, passionate and always just as saucy as the reds and oranges in this image. If there happen to be three or four people around, Jen can turn that into a party. She works hard, but is still the first person to have good time. Her high energy isn’t restricted to party time. It’s a part of how she lives. Everything counts and she naturally lives life to the fullest.

While she might not admit to it, Jen is extremely creative. Her creativity and wonderful eye for detail show up in so many ways … in merchandising, in interior design, in fashion, or in cooking and presenting a dish to a hungry soul. She is like the conductor who orchestrates and sets up the whole scene so that others can enjoy the symphony. Her joy in expressing herself spills over and the end result is that she makes the world around her more elegant and beautiful.

There is a labyrinth shape in the image that refers to the order and serenity that come from getting things right. Jen is precise in how she does things. “If you are going to do something, do it right or don’t do it at all.” This side of Jen counterbalances her passion and shows up in her sometimes more conservative approach. The final word is that Jen creates environments that are open, safe, beautiful and comfortable. She is the master of her own domain and leaves lots of room for others to do the same for themselves.
