Trees alone or together evoke strong emotions. We see them as strong, resilient, protective and useful. Even undressed they are magestic and show us their beauty without hesitation or apology.

A show at the Thomson Landry Gallery by Quebec artist Vivianne Case Fox inspired me to return to painting flowers - this time in acrylics. My  love affair with florals ended when I switched from watercolour to acrylic. Thanks to Vivianne for the reminder.

There is something wonderful about having original art in the kitchen. It is cheery for the chef and sets the stage letting people know that things made here are made with care and attention.
